I'm working on a Sci-Fi project, and made this large portable battery to be used in it. The idea is that the exterior case houses the battery core, which is removable. The battery is manufactured on the planet Indra, by the company CELL Tech, for mining outposts on distant moons, used to power exterior generators and strange sci-fi tools. Battery is modeled, optimized, unwrapped, and rendered in Blender. Textured in Substance Painter. After texturing in Substance Painter, I created a second set of UV maps to add the smaller decals/branding, as well as add the screen and button elements. The battery has two texture sets, one set is 4k and the other is 1k, in order to maintain a high texel density. The 1k map is only used for certain details on the battery. Decal sheet was created in Photoshop. Battery features a handle for ease of carrying, buttons for operating the battery, vents for releasing internal pressure and regulating interior temperature, external connection for using the battery without removing the core, and a removable core for access to raw power.
